Ubiquiti UniFi Flex XG 10GbE Switch (USW-Flex-XG)
The Ubiquiti UniFi Flex XG is a compact, high-performance Layer 2 managed switch engineered to deliver multi-gigabit speeds directly to the desk, studio floor, or local hardware cluster. Built as a slimline desktop unit, it is designed specifically for networks requiring lightning-fast data transfers between localized high-bandwidth devicesβsuch as Network Attached Storage (NAS) units, media editing workstations, and high-speed core servers.
With an impressive 82 Gbps total switching capacity, this unit removes copper cable bottlenecks from local network zones without needing complex, bulky rackmount hardware.

Four Dedicated 10G Copper Ports: Equipped with four auto-sensing RJ45 ports that natively support 1 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 5 Gbps, and full 10 Gbps connection speeds. This makes it ideal for integrating newer wireless access points or high-speed network interface cards without needing fibre-optic recabling.

One Gigabit Control Link: Includes a standalone 1 GbE RJ45 port dedicated to incoming network data feeds or legacy upstream connections, ensuring your main 10G array remains fully open for local inter-device traffic.

Silent Passive Cooling: Features a fanless design that utilizes heavy-duty internal heat dissipation. Because it lacks moving components, it operates in complete silence, making it perfectly suited for office desks, recording studios, or home entertainment units.
Dual Power Input Flexibility
The USW-Flex-XG offers two independent methods for powering the chassis, adapting easily to whatever power layout your installation site presents:

Power over Ethernet (PoE+ In): The switch can run entirely on power delivered down your incoming network line. Simply connect a standard 802.3at PoE+ cable from your core switch to Port 1 to power up the unit without needing a wall socket.

Mains Power via USB-C: For installations where PoE is unavailable, the switch features a rear USB Type-C power input. A dedicated 5V, 5A mains power adapter (complete with UK plug) is supplied in the box to run the unit from standard wall outlets.
Power Source Prioritisation: If both a PoE+ line and the USB-C adapter are plugged into the switch simultaneously, the device internal circuitry automatically prioritises the PoE+ connection to maintain operational uptime.
