With a total combined aggregate over-the-air data throughput rate of up to 3.0 Gbps, the U6-LR maintains stable, long-distance link speeds for 300+ active device sessions concurrently.

High-Gain Antennas & Broad Spatial Mapping

The U6-LR stands apart from standard ceiling access points due to its unique internal antenna orientation and multi-stream capability, engineered to eliminate localized signal dropouts:

• Down-Tilted Antenna Topology: Built with a specialized sideways, down-tilted physical antenna layout. This custom orientation wide-casts a broader, uniform horizontal coverage envelope, making it highly effective at providing stable signals across rooms with wide floor plans or high structural rafters.

• 8-Stream Spatial Capacity: Houses a robust 8-stream spatial layout utilizing an advanced 4x4 multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) matrix alongside Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) processing blocks. This large stream configuration allows the AP to process massive simultaneous upload and download requests across high device populations without packet stalling.

• Long-Range Signal Penetration: Upgraded radio frequency filters and higher transmission power outputs allow this unit to punch a clean wireless signal through dense drywall and structural materials, covering areas up to 185 m² (2,000 ft²).

• IP54 Weatherproof Barrier: Enclosed within a heavy-duty, industrially sealed polycarbonate shell. This dust-resistant and splashproof certification allows the U6-LR to be safely deployed in covered, sheltered outdoor areas—such as open-air restaurant verandas, stockrooms, outdoor entryways, or covered shipping bays.

• PoE+ Power Configuration: Operates cleanly on standard 48V active Power over Ethernet Plus (802.3at PoE+) feeds down your incoming Ethernet line. The hardware has a maximum power consumption rating of 18.5 Watts under high multi-user transaction spikes.

Physical Replacement Note: The U6-LR uses Ubiquiti's larger physical format mounting layout (Ø 220 mm). It shares identical physical dimensions and twist-and-lock baseplate matching paths with the older AC-PRO, AC-HD, and U6-Enterprise chassis designs, enabling field engineers to swap out legacy units in seconds without modification. Please note that a PoE power injector is not included in this standalone commercial pack and must be supplied via a PoE+ switch.
