The Star Micronics SP742 is a robust, high-speed dot matrix printer specifically engineered for demanding hospitality environments. Unlike thermal printers, the SP742 uses an impact ribbon, making it the industry standard for commercial kitchens where heat and humidity would otherwise cause thermal paper to blacken. With its ability to produce two-colour (red and black) output, it is ideal for highlighting special order requirements or "no-go" ingredients on kitchen dockets.

Please ensure your POS software explicitly supports "Kitchen Printing" or "Remote Printing" for the Star SP700 series. Additionally, check if your software requires the Ethernet (LAN) or Bluetooth version, as these are not interchangeable.
