The BIXOLON SLP-TX400 is a robust and powerful 4-inch (112mm) thermal transfer and direct thermal label printer designed for high-volume UK retail, logistics, and healthcare environments. Offering premium-level performance, it delivers print speeds up to 178mm/sec (7 ips) while maintaining crisp 203 dpi resolution for complex graphics and barcodes.
Choosing Your Cutting Configuration
When selecting your SLP-TX400, the primary choice is between a manual Tear Bar or an integrated Auto-Cutter.
What’s the difference?
Manual Tear Bar: Features a fixed, serrated blade inside the housing. Once a label is printed, the operator manually tears the label (including the backing paper) against the bar. This is ideal for low-to-moderate volume shipping desks where operator involvement is acceptable.
Auto-Cutter: Uses a mechanised blade to automatically trim each label or a complete batch after the print job finishes. This ensures clean, uniform edges and is significantly more efficient for large batches, repetitive packaging, or compliance labelling.
