The Newland FM430 Barracuda is a high-performance, compact, fixed-mount scanner built for seamless integration into kiosks, self-service terminals, production lines, and access control points. Standard (No L): Uses a Green LED aimer (a dot) which is less intrusive, often preferred in consumer-facing environments.

"L" Models: Use a visible Red Laser aimer (crosshair or lines), which is easier for users to spot and aim in bright lighting or complex applications.

"00" Models: Feature a short 50 cm cable, ideal for mounting directly inside a compact kiosk or terminal body where the host PC is very close.

"U" / "RC" Models: Feature a long 2 meter extension cable for applications where the host PC is further away, offering maximum installation flexibility.
