The Opticon OPA-3201-USB is a dedicated Bluetooth communication dongle designed to provide a wireless interface between Opticon cordless scanners and a host computer. It is primarily used to enable Bluetooth connectivity for desktop PCs or laptops that do not have built-in Bluetooth, or to simplify the pairing process in busy UK retail and warehouse environments.

Why Use the OPA-3201 Instead of Built-in Bluetooth?
For many UK businesses, using a dedicated dongle like the 13840 is preferred over a PC's internal Bluetooth. It allows the scanner to be "tethered" to the USB port itself; if the scanner is moved to a different till, the operator simply moves the dongle, and the pairing remains intact without needing to access the computer's system settings.
